How many photos should a car listing include?
Choose a useful photo count for your car listing. Start with a complete set and add images that explain equipment, space or condition rather than duplicates.
A car listing needs enough photographs to explain the exterior, cabin, equipment and condition. Planning around fifteen to twenty distinct images is a practical starting point. This is an editorial recommendation, not a proven optimum or a universal marketplace requirement.
Build a baseline set
Allow, for example, six exterior views, five cabin and space views, then several equipment and condition photographs. A small car needs different details from a van, convertible or seven-seater.
Ask one question of every image: what new information does it give the buyer? Without an answer, it is probably redundant.
When are additional images useful?
Add views for a third seating row, load-space layout, tow bar, charging port or unusual accessories. Show relevant damage so its extent and location are clear. An overview alongside a close-up can therefore be worthwhile.
A higher photo count does not compensate for blur. Replace a poor capture instead of adding three similar ones.
What should appear first?
Start with a clear lead image and the remaining exterior views. Follow with the cabin and practical space, then equipment and condition details. Do not make significant defects difficult to discover.
Check the order on mobile. The first visible images should clearly introduce the car.
Processing a larger series
123CarStudio allows up to twelve photos per selection, so an advertisement may require several selections. Every detail does not need a new background; retain original close-ups when they better explain condition.
Verify current image-count and file requirements with the publishing channel. An upload maximum is a technical limit, not a target for editorial completeness.
